Trophies for sporting stars at presentation evening

Superb sporting performances and achievements were rewarded at a College Sports Presentation Evening, held at Upminster Rugby Club.
Trophies for Sports Personality of the Year, Most Improved Players and team awards were given out to those students who have showed terrific commitment, leadership and talent throughout the year.
The fun evening, attended by students and staff and compered by Sports Co-ordinator Graham Hall, was rounded off with dancing after the formal presentations were complete.
The award winners were:
Kudiwa Kamudyariwa – Men’s Sports Personality of the Year for achievement in Cricket and Football
Mauteen Wusu – Women’s Sports Personality of the Year for achievement in Badminton and Basketball
Simrun Sumbal – Andy Sasiadek Memorial Trophy
Ellie Noble – Michael Row Memorial Trophy
Lauren Simon (lower sixth) and Tommy Smith (upper sixth) – BTEC Sports Science Students of the Year
Mitchel Pennant – Lower BTEC Sport Student of the Year
Chloe Cornell – Upper BTEC Sport Student of the Year
Mauteen Wusu and Jamil Hassam – Badminton
Jack Payne – Player of the Year, Cricket
Kai Hatton – Most Improved Player, Cricket
Louise Hayden – Women’s Football Player of the Year
Lucie O’Connor – Most Improved Women’s Football
Stiven Xhelili – Football (2nd squad) Player of the Year
