Tourism students get behind the scenes of Corrie during 3-day residential trip
Travel and Tourism students became the latest Coronation Street barmaids when they got the chance to visit the iconic Rovers Return pub as part of a tour of the famous TV set.
The students, who are all studying for the BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism, took part in a residential trip to Blackpool and Manchester.
As well as the visit to the cobbles of Coronation Street, they also went to the home of ballroom dancing - the Blackpool Tower, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Blackpool Pleasure Beach theme park and Manchester United’s Old Trafford Football Stadium.
The 3-day trip enabled the group to complete tasks for their Tourism unit coursework and gave them a hands-on look at how British attractions market themselves to a range of customer types.
