Star students honoured for exceptional attendance records

Outstanding students were honoured by the College and given the chance to win a Kindle Paperwhite due to their fantastic attendance record.

More than 320 students received a chocolate egg, a Certificate of Commendation and were invited to a photo opportunity for having between 98% and 100% attendance at College so far this academic year.

As a reward, the names of these high-attending students were also put into a draw to win a Kindle Paperwhite. The three winners chosen at random were – Mitchell Perry, Wade White and Helena Baker.

Ian Budge, College Leader of Student Services & Engagement, told all the students they were stars for showing commitment and dedication to their studies.

He said: “Congratulations must go to these students on their attendance. Many of them have 100% records. Going into the business end of the academic year with exams and coursework deadlines looming, a great attendance record will give them every chance of success.”
